COOKING LESSONS - COURSES IN VILLA


All the cooking classes in the location will be held by qualified cooks which offer a special opportunity to learn and prepare traditional Italian dishes. Lessons are based on the preparation of a typical menu and concentrate on the combination of simple ingredients and the natural flavors of regional dishes. The lessons include the preparation of pasta, soups and main courses, finishing this extra special experience with the preparation of deserts, all of which you will sit down and enjoy at the end of your lesson accompanied with local wines.


TYPICAL ITALIAN COOKING COURSES OR LESSONS

Traditional Italian cooking courses (different depending on the region) are held by qualified personnel who are authorized in reference to the health and safety regulations. Courses can be held either in the location rented by our clients or in another structure not far from the location itself. Courses can last one or more days depending on the number of participants. Courses are carried out by one or more chefs and a translator if necessary. We recommend a maximum of 8/10 participants per group for a better comprehension of the lessons.
The courses will always be private where the participants will take an active part in the preparation of the dishes, which will then be consumed as their meal. The traditional Italian culinary is based on the quality of the ingredients which are usually cultivated in our countryside cooked in a simple yet refined manner. Many dishes, especially in the Tuscan cooking, is simple and light, particular attention is made to the genuinely which consists of limited use of butter and cream, this is because Italy as a whole and Umbria and Tuscany in particular are fine producers of olive oil. Cooking courses are usually held in the afternoon, this is to give clients the possibility to relax during the day and ensuring the course is an enjoyable and interesting activity.
The chef , will be present in the location or in the designated structure from around 16.00. He/She will present the dishes that will be prepared during the lessons, the participants will be subdivided in the preparation of the same (which will be decided beforehand to avoid allergies and to respect personal tastes). We also consider the combination of the most suitable wines for each dish. The majority of the courses also involve the preparation of fresh hand-made pasta, or a good fruit tart, and where possible the preparation of hand made pizza cooked in a traditional wood oven. All hands on!!!!..preparation of your meal, starting with the antipasti and to finish with the desert in a charming atmosphere, maybe even tasting a good glass of wine as a starter. The Menu for your lesson can be chosen from the examples sent at the moment of your reservation.


TEACHING METHODS

The course starts with a brief theory explanation of the main principals of Italian cooking and continues with the preparation of traditional dishes, for example the pastry to home made sauces as well as the dough for the pasta, the preparation of the main dishes and deserts concluding with your prepared dishes.


LENGTH OF LESSONS

You can chose either one or more lessons during your stay, with the following timetable: Afternoon: from 16.00 - to 20.00 (with dinner) Courses can be held from Monday to Sunday. Bank holidays on request.
