The wrought iron balconies, the large sunny terraces and the splendid portico look out over a breathtaking view of the Roero castles, of the Alps and the nearby hills of Monferrato; you will carry in your heart these unforgettable panoramas, sunsets and relaxing moments every time you think about your holiday at Villa Althea. The large garden where flowers dominate in all shades of pink, the large swimming pool in blue mosaic protected by Art Nouveau French windows, the beautiful diverse rooms with furnishings that range from classic to exotic, skilfully matched and embellished by refined fabrics and bright tones, will amaze and win over even the most demanding people. The six bedrooms with en-suite bathroom all have a fireplace, satellite TV and minibar, antique parquet and colourful carpets, as well as providing you with an unforgettable panoramic view. The common areas are located on the ground floor and are equipped with every comfort: the large welcoming living room with breakfast area and direct access out to the patio, the billiard room and the bar, while the large fully-equipped kitchen is located on the lower floor with direct access out to the garden. Also in the courtyard is the access to the home of the owner who will look after the greenery and garden with great discretion, directly or through the maintainance service.

Interior:
The gate opens into the internal courtyard with a charming fountain and adorned with exotic and native plants that create green corners and lovely blooms. The main door of the villa opens into the entrance hall with mosaics and exotic furnishings, giving a foretaste of the character of the villa. On the right is the cellar with the crutin (a small cellar dug into the tuff) which houses the best bottles of the local wine production. This is followed by the pantry and the kitchen with large French windows that open onto the courtyard; to the left of the entrance is the beautiful horseshoe-shaped swimming pool in blue mosaic, protected in the last part by a large, furnished pavilion where you can relax. The ceiling is exposed to the sky and there are Art Nouveau French windows that protect the pool during winter while in summer they are open, giving you direct access to the garden. To the right of the pool is a small gym equipped for weight lifting, stretching and aerobics and also with an exit to the garden at the end of the corridor. This area is equipped with a guest bathroom. To the left of the corridor are three rooms with the sauna and Turkish bath, whose use is by reservation and for a fee. From the entrance, a staircase leads up to the ground floor with, on the right, the billiard room followed by the bar and then a double bedroom, La Dolce Vita, with en-suite bathroom with hydromassage tub and Art Nouveau ornamentation and furniture in relaxing shades of yellow and green and a surprising ceiling that reproduces a large green lawn dotted with small yellow daisies. On the left, you come to the large living room divided into two areas: the breakfast area, with direct exit out to the portico furnished with a large dining table and outdoor furniture in Art Nouveau style which continues on to a huge terrace, and the sitting area with large fireplace and cosy sofas. From the living room you enter, on the right, to the staircase up to the first floor to the suite, La Mille e Una Notte (One Thousand and One Nights), the largest and most fascinating of the villa, where you will be amazed by the ethnic style and the luxury specifically designed to recreate the atmosphere of ancient distant lands, the bathroom with whirlpool tub, marble, coral, exposed ceiling beams and Murano appliques. From the lliving room, on the left, is a corridor where, immediately on the left, a staircase leads to the double bedroom, Viola, with en-suite bathroom with hydromassage shower, violin, viola d'amore inspired by the romantic tone of lilac, that perfume of irises, violets and primroses: a tribute to Van Gogh and Monet. To the right of the staircase you come to a double bedroom, La Vie en Rose, with en-suite bathroom with hydromassage tub/shower which, together with its name and the colour of the canopy, blended with green, creates pleasant chromatic notes exalting an all-Mediterranean freshness and joie de vivre. Continuing along the corridor, we come to the green dining/breakfast room with small kitchenette and a French window leading out to the huge terrace, followed by the living room of Cappuccetto Rosso (Little Red Riding Hood), also with access to the large terrace. Here we come to a beautiful staircase in wood and wrought iron that leads to the master bedroom, Petali di Rosa (Rose Petals), with en-suite bathroom with hydromassage shower, a profusion of red roses from the upholstery to the bed fabrics, from the hand-painted rosebuds on the tiles decorating the 19th century bathroom floor to the roses carved on the Carrara marble fireplace. From the living room of Cappuccetto Rosso we come to the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with hydromassage shower, a chest and a queensize bed that embodies the charm of mignon and with the colour yellow dominating and enhancing the iridescent colours of the walls.
Park:
The park of about 8,000 sq m, planted with tall trees, extends all around the villa and is completely fenced. The 3000 sq m garden is flat and luxuriant with numerous species of flowering plants and a beautiful, centuries-old fig tree in the centre. From the villa you accede to the garden and park through the courtyard and from the numerous French windows of the kitchen, gym and large swimming pool on the lower floor and, also, from the stone staircase at the end of the large terrace.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The large, horseshoe-shaped swimming pool, located at the garden level, measures 60 sq m with the depth ranging from 0,60 to 2 m; covered in blue Bisazza mosaic, it has chlorine purification, lighting, hydromassage jets and Roman steps for access to the water. Part is covered in brickwork and frescoed while the end part is protected by a large pavilion with furniture for relaxing in. The ceiling is exposed to the sky and there are Art Nouveau French windows which remain closed during the winter while in summer they are open, giving direct access to the garden and the solarium area equipped with sunbeds, deck chairs and umbrellas. The pool is available to guests from the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in September. This area of the villa is completed by a spa area with sauna and Turkish bath, with these services available upon reservation and at an extra cost.
