Description:
RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Villa I Tre Archi is an old Tuscan farmhouse built in the late 19th century, tastefully renovated and harmoniously inserted in the splendid green Tuscan hills of the upper Val di Cecina, in the Comune of Pomarance, a borderland between Pisa and Siena; majestic but simple, it is built in local stone and conveys a sense of well-being at first sight. Podere I Gessi, as it was called until the 90s, with the name deriving from an old alabaster quarry within the estate, was where wheat, olive trees, vineyards and vegetables were cultivated and where cattle and pigs were raised in a semi-wild state. In 2003 the renovation works began with the aim of giving personality to the building, while preserving the architectural characteristics and enhancing the use of original materials to maintain the warmth and authenticity typical of Tuscan farmhouses, such as the exposed-stone cladding and the contour of the roof. The farmhouse is located in an oasis of tranquility, in a privileged position due to its exposure to the 4 winds; green hills, daisies and violets that colour the fields and a profound silence. The interior, too, maintains the rustic mix that characterises the exterior, the wooden beams and the stone walls creating an environment of great comfort and harmony. Its peculiarity is inherent in the brilliance of the environment: the arched windows, in fact, occupy the walls entirely and offer a breathtaking view over the surrounding hills. The swimming pool embellishes this place surrounded by a thousand shades of green, guaranteeing unforgettable days of pure relaxation. Next to the villa there is the owners’ house who, although live there daily, carefully guarantee the maximum privacy and non-intrusiveness to their precious guests, actually with their presence the holiday could be enriched with the added value of being pampered, upon request, by their assistance about places to visit or being always up to date about all events and initiatives in the area.
They could recommend bike trails, horse riding, where to rent e-bikes; guide you towards the most beautiful beaches of the coast, art cities; advise where to taste traditional food and wine or, if you wish, they could organize a dinner or a lunch directly in-villa by their chef. An additional important aspect is also the possibility to buy oil, wine, jams and other genuine products directly from the farm owned by their family.

Interior:
The house has two floors. The entrance to the house, in front of the parking area, is on the ground floor, connected to the basement floor by an internal, 8-step stone staircase; on the right is a large dining area, a living room with TV and a breakfast room while on the left is the large professional kitchen with adjacent guest bathroom and laundry. An antique terracotta staircase leads up to the first floor with 5 double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower.
Park:
Without a doubt, the strong point of this location is the surrounding landscape; the approximately 300 sq m garden draws inspiration from it and is the ideal setting from where to admire it. Plush borders make up the green structure providing, in the flowering periods, a full and enveloping vegetation that creates intimate, welcoming corners where the outdoor dining area is protagonist. All the vegetation is kept low so as not to obscure the view of the surrounding countryside. There is no shortage of fragrant plants, such as lavender and blue sage, creating romantic chromatic contrasts. A grassy carpet follows the paths around the house to the pergola, in front of the living room, and to a barbecue area with wood oven. A gravel driveway leads to the parking area, also rich in fragrant herbs and fruit trees.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
Open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October, the rectangular pool is located on the right side of the house, a few metres from the outdoor dining area and immersed in the formal garden, fenced and protected by hedges, lavender and flowering plants with, in the background, Mediterranean scrub, soft hills, olive groves and a medieval town. Measuring 7 x 15 m with a depth of 1.50 m, the pool has chlorine purification and Roman steps with hydromassage for access to the water. The surrounding solarium area is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a shower. A gazebo furnished with a conversation area provides shade.
