Description:

PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Casale Piè Gamboi was originally an old 18th century farmhouse. The good hillside location offers a beautiful view over the rows of olive trees looking out towards the Chianti hills and the old town of Volterra. Piè Gamboi is in the perfect position for enjoying the summer concerts of Andrea Bocelli in the famous TEATRO DEL SILENZIO Theatre of Silence, (www.teatrodelsilenzio.it/news.php), in Lajatico, his birthplace, not far from Chianni. The farmhouse has been completely redesigned, keeping the original structure and combining tradition with modernity. The outside walls are in open-face stone while inside the rooms have been plastered, retaining the old ceilings. From the villa, tucked away from prying eyes though just 1,5 km from the town of Chianni, you can easily reach many locations of great artistic and cultural interest, such as the Tuscan cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena, as well as some of the famous spas in the vicinity, like Casciana Terme, Uliveto and Montecatini Terme, the beautiful beaches of the Livorno and Versilia coast and golf clubs like that of Castelfalfi, the Cosmopolitan Golf Club in Tirrenia and the Versilia Golf Club in Forte dei Marmi.

Interior:

The 2-storey house stands on almost level land. Entry into the house is possible on both the ground floor and the first floor by means of the original stone staircase. On the ground floor the main entrance opens into a hall, a large kitchen with central island and dining area, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with tub. From the hall you go up to the first floor composed of a living room with antique fireplace with TV and DVD player (that opens on a large and panoramic terrace equipped with relax area), a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and tub, one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

Park:

The fenced-in park covers an area of about 5000 sq m of land, mostly fields, woodland, productive olive trees and a level garden. The garden is coloured by a variety of plants and flowers and has been made more comfortable and cosy thanks to the presence of structures perfect for just relaxing and an area for volleyball and table tennis.

Swimming Pool:

The rectangular swimming pool measures 8 x 16 m with the depth ranging from 1,20 m around the sides to 1,90 m in the centre; Romain steps lead into the water. It is about 30 m from the house and is reached via a porphyry path. It is lined in light-coloured PVC and has salt purification. The solarium area is paved in stone and is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday of October.

Location and distances


The property is situated 2 km from the centre of Chianni, a village of medieval origin in the Parco dell’Alta Valdera, a hilly region rich in chestnut woods, vineyards and olive groves in the centre of Tuscany, in the south-eastern part of the Province of Pisa, bordering on the town of Volterra and near the Provinces of Siena and Florence. Chianni, a convenient reference point for guests for shopping and various utility services, is easily accessible from both the north and the south thanks to the A1 motorway and from the Pontedera exit, about 26 km away, of the trunk road linking Florence, Pisa and Livorno (SGC FI-PI-LI). For those wishing to travel by train there is also an important railway station at Pontedera with direct connections to Florence and Pisa. The airports of the region are very close, Pisa being 40 kms away and Florence about 80 kms away. There are also many tourist resorts close by: the many old charming rural villages in the vicinity, the main art cities of the region and the attractive coastal resorts of Versilia.

The garden with the large pool and the magnificent view! The villa is very nice, with large rooms. The furnishing was good. Verry good that three are two large fridges in the kitchen.

WEEKLY RENTALS:
The standard typology is the one that foresees the regular Saturday- Saturday stay. In this case it is possible to send a request or to directly book online.

SHORT STAYS and NON-WEEKLY STAYS:
For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.

The booking requests for one week stay during July and August are subject to approval.

  • national lockdown in your country of residence;
  • Italian local lockdown in the Client's Municipality or area of residence..
