PRIVATE STRUCTURE (Lease only). Podere Belvedere is located on a hill 529 m above sea level in a fantastic sunny position with a beautiful view of the valley below. The structure is a characteristic stone house which has maintained unaltered the style of Tuscan country houses. The rooms, with colourful walls, are furnished in vintage style with antique furniture. The floors are in terracotta. Podere Belvedere has two floors connected by a wooden staircase. The exposed stone walls, both outside and inside, render the ground floor living room particularly characteristic. All the rooms have a convenient French window leading directly out to the garden or to the fully-equipped solarium where you can relax in the surrounding greenery. The top floor is dedicated to the sleeping area where each bedroom has a window with a breathtaking view. Located in Moncioni, an old castle, Podere Belvedere offers an opportunity for guests to stroll through the characteristic alleys of the small borgo and for hikers,to explore different routes between spectacular castles and typical borghi, all surrounded by nature. On the border between Valdarno and Chianti, the property allows you to move around easily to visit numerous places such as Arezzo, Siena, Florence and to organise tastings of typical products and the renowned wine of Chianti.

PODERE BELVEDERE HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

The house, on two floors, is furnished in vintage-style with antique furniture. The entrance to the house is adjacent to the solarium. A hallway leads, on the left, to the living room furnished with sofa, fireplace and flat screen satellite TV and, up three steps on the right, to a small corridor with, on the left, a bathroom with shower and then on to the open-plan living area with dining room with fireplace and kitchen with central island. The floor is completed by a double bedroom and the laundry room. French windows in the living rooms and kitchen lead out to the solarium and the furnished portico on the pool side. From the entrance hall, a 14-step wooden staircase leads up to the top floor with two double bedrooms served by a bathroom with hydromassage tub.

Park:

The house is surrounded by greenery. The well-kept garden, of about 900 sq m, is adorned with cypresses, olive trees, herbs such as rosemary, beautiful roses and fruit trees, in particular an enormous kiwi. The portico, with a beautiful view over the surrounding valley, is the ideal place for al fresco meals and is equipped with table and chairs. The barbecue is located next to the swimming pool. The property is completely fenced. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The swimming pool is located next to the house and is reached up 4 steps. Measuring 10 x 5 m with a constant depth of 1.4 m, it is lined in PVC and has chlorine purification, internal lighting and 5 internal steps for access to the water. The surrounding terracotta-paved area is equipped with deck chairs, sunbeds, umbrellas and a cold-water shower.The pool is available from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

Podere Belvedere is located in a hilly position on the border between Valdarno and Chianti in the hamlet of Moncioni, comune of Montevarchi, about 15 km from Gaiole in Chianti. The property is rendered particularly beautiful by the panorama that embraces the typical Tuscan landscape at 360° and is surrounded by greenery but easily accessible by car. Within walking distance is the tiny borgo characterised by the presence of two typical restaurants and a shop selling local products where tastings can be organised. The nearest airport is Florence, approximately 57 km away, while the railway station in Montevarchi is approximately 8 km away. The property is also well connected given the proximity to the Valdarno exit of the A1 motorway, about 15 km away. Arezzo is about 40 minutes away by car, but other towns such as Siena, 50 km away, and Florence, 55 km away, are within easy reach. The Chianti area is also easily accessible with Gaiole in Chianti just half an hour away by car.

The property matched our expectations with good accessibility (roads, not always the case in Italy) and a very friendly welcome by the concierge. The property doesn't have the most modern look inside, but everything is there (e.g. airco in de bedrooms was very welcome) and you have a beautiful view on de garden. The swimming pool is spacious and tidy, and surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The garden with panoramic view on the valley is more extensive than you would expec
