The small village of Bruno in the province of Asti lies at the foot of the first hills of Alto Monferrato (towards the Langhe), on the fertile plains of the Belbo. Famous is the castle, owned by the Faà family for more than four hundred years, which rises majestically on a hill, dominating the surrounding territories. The hill is covered by vineyards where some of the most noble cru (wines) of Piedmont are grown, including Barbera and Moscato, undoubtedly the best. Besides the vineyards are intensively cultivated orchards of apples and peaches. The territory of the "Langhe-Roero e Monferrato" became a UNESCO World Heritage site on June 21st, 2014. Bruno is located 38 km from the provincial capital, Asti, and 20 km from Acqui Terme, famous for its spa baths. Furthermore in a bit more than one hour drive, it is possible to reach Genova, Torino and Milan. There are numerous events held throughout the year, all within easy reach. Among these we would like to mention the following. In April, in Frascaro (AL) "Frascaro in Fiore (Frascara in Bloom)", a famous floricultural fair, is held. There are three events in May: 1) in many neighbouring localities we find "Cantine Aperte (Open Cellars)" with the opportunity of tasting the best local wines paired with local products; 2) in Vinchio (AT) the "Sagra dell'Asparago (Festival of Asparagus)"; 3) in Nizza Monferrato (AT) "Nizza è Barbera", a two-day event dedicated to the fine red wine. There are four events in June, three in Nizza Monferrato (AT): "Corsa delle Botti (Race of the Barrels)", "Monferrato in Tavola" and "Monferrato Expo"; and one in Bruno (AT), the “Festa del Borgo Antico (Festival of the Old Borgo)”. During July, in Bruno and in many other neighbouring villages, many characteristic patronal feasts are held with typical products quaffed with excellent local wines, music and various other attractions. Also in July, in Nizza Monferrato (AT) on the third Saturday of the month, is the “Notte delle Lanterne Volanti (the Night of the Flying Lanterns)" with various refreshment stalls, music spots and 1,500 lanterns burning in the sky. In August the characteristic patronal feasts continue in many towns in the area. In September the "Douja D'Or", "Il Palio" and “Il Festival della Sagre” are held in Asti. In October, the "Festa del Tartufo (Truffle Festival)" is held in Bergamasco. In November, in Nizza Monferrato (AT), in the weekend after All Saints' Day, the "Fiera di San Carlo" is held. Every third Sunday of the month (throughout the year), in nearby Nizza Monferrato, one of the largest antique markets in Northern Italy is held: old objects that are more or less valuable, antique collectibles and furniture.Golf Club in Asti at 20 km ( 9 hole golf course buche) and Golf Club Margara at Fubine at 28 km (18 hole golf course).
