Description:

RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Frantusa is a characterful, Tuscan villa situated just outside the little village of Villamagna, near historic Volterra. Surrounded by a lawned garden, tall cypress trees and Mediterranean plants, the scenic setting is perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco together while admiring the surrounding views. Inside its stone walls, the interiors are full of original Tuscan features, including wooden beams and distinctive arched ceilings. Furnished in a simple country style throughout with wooden antique furniture, the ground floor encompasses a kitchen, a living room with a dining area, while the three bedrooms are upstairs. A portico terrace outside sets the scene for meals and drinks outside while a fenced pool area enjoys sweeping views across the surrounding landscape.

Interior:

The villa has two floors, connected via an internal staircase and an external stone staircase. GROUND FLOOR – Entrance hall; kitchen; living room with dining area, double sofa bed and fireplace; bathroom with tub. FIRST FLOOR – Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower; second double bedroom; twin bedroom; bathroom with shower. Laundry room adjacent to the house, with separate entrance.

Park:

The villa is surrounded by approximately 500 sqm of private fenced grounds planted with lawn, flower beds and cypress trees. A portico terrace adjacent to the house is furnished with a table and chairs for dining outdoors. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The fenced-in pool enjoys an excellent view over the surrounding hills and is easily reached from the house, which is just a few metres away. It is rectangular and measures 10 x 5 m with a varying depth of 1.60 to 1.20 m. The pool is lined in PVC with chlorine purification and has a ladder for access to the water. The solarium area is paved in porphyry and is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas.

Frantusa just outside located in Villamagna, a small village in the hills near Volterra, in the province of Pisa. Its position is ideal for day trips to some of Tuscany’s most fascinating towns and cities, including Volterra and San Gimignano, both around thirty minutes drive from the villa. Pisa, Florence and the sandy beaches of the Etruscan Coast are also within easy reach, approximately one hour away by car. The surrounding countryside is rich in nature trails, woodland and opportunities for scenic walks or cycling.

Location - right in the middle of the triangle formed by Pisa, Florence and Siena, and very near San Gimignano. Big co-op at Volterra (another handsome walled city) for food and drink. Air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms. Loads of towels, and cleaned halfway through. Very nice owner. The pool is just gorgeous, lots of chairs, recliners and parasols, and as clear, cool and fresh water as you will find in a pool. Just swimming and reading by the pool was enough for me.

The views were great. The house has a totaly authentic "Italian Farm Villa" feel to it.The pool is in a beautiful setting for morning coffee & afternoon drinks. The villa even had sheep in the yard! The beds were very comfortable & The sheets were of wonderful quality.

Description:

RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Frantusa is a characterful, Tuscan villa situated just outside the little village of Villamagna, near historic Volterra. Surrounded by a lawned garden, tall cypress trees and Mediterranean plants, the scenic setting is perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco together while admiring the surrounding views. Inside its stone walls, the interiors are full of original Tuscan features, including wooden beams and distinctive arched ceilings. Furnished in a simple country style throughout with wooden antique furniture, the ground floor encompasses a kitchen, a living room with a dining area, while the three bedrooms are upstairs. A portico terrace outside sets the scene for meals and drinks outside while a fenced pool area enjoys sweeping views across the surrounding landscape.

Interior:

The villa has two floors, connected via an internal staircase and an external stone staircase. GROUND FLOOR – Entrance hall; kitchen; living room with dining area, double sofa bed and fireplace; bathroom with tub. FIRST FLOOR – Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower; second double bedroom; twin bedroom; bathroom with shower. Laundry room adjacent to the house, with separate entrance.

Park:

The villa is surrounded by approximately 500 sqm of private fenced grounds planted with lawn, flower beds and cypress trees. A portico terrace adjacent to the house is furnished with a table and chairs for dining outdoors. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The fenced-in pool enjoys an excellent view over the surrounding hills and is easily reached from the house, which is just a few metres away. It is rectangular and measures 10 x 5 m with a varying depth of 1.60 to 1.20 m. The pool is lined in PVC with chlorine purification and has a ladder for access to the water. The solarium area is paved in porphyry and is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas.

Frantusa just outside located in Villamagna, a small village in the hills near Volterra, in the province of Pisa. Its position is ideal for day trips to some of Tuscany’s most fascinating towns and cities, including Volterra and San Gimignano, both around thirty minutes drive from the villa. Pisa, Florence and the sandy beaches of the Etruscan Coast are also within easy reach, approximately one hour away by car. Location - right in the middle of the triangle formed by Pisa, Florence and Siena, and very near San Gimignano. Big co-op at Volterra (another handsome walled city) for food and drink. Air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms. Loads of towels, and cleaned halfway through. Very nice owner. The pool is just gorgeous, lots of chairs, recliners and parasols, and as clear, cool and fresh water as you will find in a pool. Just swimming and reading by the pool was enough for me.

The white goods (Fridge , dishwasher) were a little tired could do with replacing and another Fridge in the laundry room ..there was 7 of us and there was not a lot of room in the fridge.

Available interior space was excellent. Well appointed bathrooms and very functional kitchen. Property position ... private and quiet location but not too remote with stunning views from the pool area. Very friendly/helpful landlord!!!!! A first class gentleman.

The views were great. The house has a totaly authentic "Italian Farm Villa" feel to it.The pool is in a beautiful setting for morning coffee & afternoon drinks. The villa even had sheep in the yard! The beds were very comfortable & The sheets were of wonderful quality.
