RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Casale Verdicchio is located in the little borgo of Montecarotto, in the province of Ancona, and owes its name to the fact that it lies in the area where the renowned Verdicchio wine is produced. The house, completely renovated in 2005 in respect of the original design of the old farmhouse and in accordance with the anti-seismic regulations, has been completed with high-quality recycled materials such as stones, bricks and roof tiles, wooden ceiling beams and handmade Tuscan terracotta floor tiles. For the interior furnishings, simple and natural materials have been chosen such as untreated wood and paint, a rustic look synonymous with comfort and functionality. Casale Verdicchio offers a holiday of privacy and relaxation, immersed in the green countryside and far from the chaos of the city while allowing, thanks to its proximity to interesting borghi, exploration of the typical values and flavours of the Marche region.

Interior:

Casale Verdicchio has three floors. On the ground floor, the main door leads into the entrance hall with, on the right, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and, on the left, a small apartment, which also has a separate entrance, with a small living room with kitchen, bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with a lovely balcony overlooking the hills. From the corridor you go to the main kitchen which, through a French window and across a small connecting portico, leads to the dining/living room served by a guest bathroom. From the kitchen you can also go down to the basement with the laundry room. From the entrance hall a terracotta staircase goes up to the first floor composed of a double bedroom with extra third bed with en-suite bathroom with shower, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and a small apartment with a little kitchen with table, a corner with sofa and loft with single bed and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

Park:

The property covers about 400 sq m of non-enclosed park, mostly flat with slight slopes. It has a lush lawned garden where lavender and rosemary bushes alternate with various types of plants and flowers like hydrangeas, roses, callas, lilacs and oleanders. Majestic leafy trees, a large oak, an old olive and three large mulberry trees, one of which stands in the pool area, allow you to relax in the shade with a good glass of wine. Furthermore, the presence of a gazebo, in front of the dining/living room and furnished with table and chairs for lunches, apéritifs and alfresco dinners, is another area to share with your family. Making the park even more colourful and delectable are the different types of fruit trees: apples, pears, cherries, figs, pomegranates, apricots and peaches. Finally, a beautiful expanse of olive trees, visible from the first-floor rooms, completes the outdoor area. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The pool is about 8 m from the property, lying on one side of it. It measures 8 x 5 m with the depth ranging from 1,20 to 1,70 m. It is lined in white PVC and is purified by sand filtration plus chlorine. Access to the water is via large steps on the long side facing the house. The solarium area, partly terracotta-paved around the pool and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and an outdoor shower, The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.

Location and distances


Casale Verdicchio is the ideal base from which to explore the beauties of this territory so rich in history and tradition. Well worthy of a visit are medieval borghi like Serra De' Conti, 5 km away, Serra San Quirico and Arcevia just 16 km away, the latter with its nine castles integrated within the 14-15th century walls with their features still intact and structured with picturesque squares and streets, rendering them unique. Being an area of production of fine wines such as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d'Alba, a few kilometres from the property are numerous wineries that offer tastings and visits with the possibility to purchase. Also, just 20 minutes away is the town of Jesi, a treasure trove of art and culture, with its shopping centres. For lovers of adventure and exploration of natural underground worlds, a visit to the Caves of Frasassi, just 30 minutes away, with stalactites and stalagmites, centuries-old calcareous concentrations of the most varied shapes, cannot be missed. Last but not least, Casale Verdicchio, thanks to its proximity to the borgo of Montecarotto (2 km away), can count on various types of shops to meet the needs of guests.

Yes it did. Exceeded our expectations in terms of utilities and facilities for cooking - very well equipped kitchen that was suitable for cooking for a big group. Very nice host that gave us fresh vegetables from garden and was helpful with any inquiries we had.

The owner Danilo was a great host. Check-in went very smooth and he was available for questions all the time. He helped us when one of the family member was ill by calling the local pharmacy. He maintained the property regularly, was very kind and shared the vegetables of his garden.
