Il Giardino dei Limoni (the Lemon Garden) is immersed in a lemon grove, amidst the scent of lemons and gardens in Ispica, in a strategic position not far from the best tourist attractions of eastern Sicily, like the Baroque towns of Ragusa, Noto and Syracuse, and from the most beautiful Sicilian beaches like that of Santa Maria del Focallo, awarded the Blue Flag, the beach of Carratois at the extreme tip of Sicily where the two seas meet, or the famous reserve of Vendicari with the beach of Calamosche, recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy. The villa with typically Sicilian structural characteristics and décor, has large cosy and comfortable spaces both outdoors and indoors; the portico with wood oven overlooking the splendid garden with swimming pool promises days full of wonderful meals and relaxation by the pool, cosseted by the cool of the surrounding countryside. Please Note: when property is rented in this solution no other guest will be present on site.

Interior:

The house is on one level with the rooms furnished and designed in typical Sicilian rustic style. The entrance opens into a large sitting/dining room with working fireplace, a typical built-in fitted kitchen, full of light, with one window facing the portico which overlooks the pool and another window facing the garden. The sleeping area, separated from the living room by a large stone arch and a corridor with two steps leading up to it, consists of 2 double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom with two beds and another bathroom with shower.

Park:

The well-maintained garden, planted with lawn close to the house, and the large portico set up with a barbecue and a wood oven for alfresco meals and with a ping-pong table, have many areas for guests to enjoy the outdoors, playing games or just relaxing in a quiet corner. Next to the main entrance and with external access, there is a lovely SPA with large windows overlooking the lush garden. It consists of a 4-seat heatable jacuzzi, a 2-seat finnish sauna, an emotional shower and a relaxation area with chaise lounges. It is possible to access the SPA from 10 am to 9 pm for 3 consecutive hours with 24 hours notice. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The rectangular swimming pool measures 10 x 5m and is sited in the middle of the garden and 10 m from the portico; The solarium area, partly paved and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds. The pool has a constant depth of 1,40m and is accessed by ladder. It is purified with chlorine. The outdoor shower is nearby and has hot and cold water. Thanks to its illumination both internally and externally it can be used in the evenings as well. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday of October.

It is very comfortable and the outside space is perfect. The inside space is too dark for us. We prefer a different quality of lighting than the house provides (and more lighting). But it has been a perfect place for our visit. So comfortable, the outside space is beautiful and we are centrally located!

The villa is in a very private and peaceful area but also a great location to explore Sicily. The pool was great with the diving board and deep end - the boys loved it. The property is extremely well equipped.

it had everything we needed for a good holiday- the bathrooms had soap and shampoo, the kitchen had oil, vinegar, herbs, garlic, and some basics in fridge, there was toilet roll, clingfilm, mosquito repellant- all these things make the property so much more welcoming so we can get straight on with our holiday.

The privacy and seclusion of the villa and pool plus the ability to pick our own citrus fruits for freshly- squeezed juice! The pool was just the right size and depth and we were able to truly relax. What are the aspects of the property that you appreciated the most?
Pool, Satellite TV, Pizza Oven, BBQ, Garden. Lemon grove, proximity to beach & sea... Pretty much everything was lovely & fine!
Do you have any suggestions to improve the property?
Not really. Owner is already changing Internet provider following intermittent service during our stay.

STAY CANCELLATION GUARANTEE DUE TO LOCKDOWN - by Emma Villas (Included in the price) The final price of the reservation includes also the special coverage, guaranteed by Emma Villas, in the event that you are forced to cancel your stay in the 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, due to the occurrence of at least one of the following Covid-19 epidemic containment measures officially imposed by the competent authorities:
  • national lockdown in Italy;
  • local lockdown in Italy regarding the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation);
  • national lockdown in your country of residence;
  • Italian local lockdown in the Client's Municipality or area of residence..

HEALTH ASSISTANCE INSURANCE POLICY - by EuropAssistance (Optional) +1,5% of the rental price Not only cancellation policies, but also protection during your stay. You can choose to purchase this policy in the event you should, for the duration of your stay, want coverage for:
  • Healthcare with Operations Centre 24/7;
  • Vehicle Assistance to and from the place of stay and for the entire duration of your holiday; (zona "rossa" o impossibile da raggiungere a causa di restrizioni ufficiali alla libera circolazione);
  • Healthcare for family members left at home;
  • Reimbursement of medical expenses;
  • Repeat Trip Guarantee that reimburses the unused portion without deductible in the case of medical return home or early return home.

COVID-19 EXTRA POLICY - by EuropAssistance (Optional) 40€ each reservation To protect against any risks caused by the Covid-19 emergency, you can purchase the Covid-19 Extra Policy which protects you in the event that you or one of your travel companions are forced to extend your stay or are unable to complete it. In the event of consequences related to the pandemic that occur during your stay, if you sign up to this policy, you can request the following services:
  • Return home;
  • Advance for expenses for basic necessities;
  • Guarantee for extra medical expenses;
  • Extended stay guarantee;
  • Hospitalisation allowance;
  • Travel fee reimbursement.

ZER0DEP COVER - by EuropAssistance (Mandatory) 49€ each reservation The new "Zer0Dep" guarantee protects you and allows you to have a tranquil holiday. Zer0Dep stands for "Zero deposit"; it is an insurance coverage developed in partnership with EuropAssistance which replaces the security deposit and which is therefore mandatory. The benefits of this guarantee are: you do not pay the security deposit on arrival: neither in cash nor by immobilising a substantial amount on your credit card limit;
  • you are protected in the case of eventual damage to the property caused accidentally during your stay (up to the maximum limit of 1500 euro);
  • you avoid any dispute on the responsibility of the damage and its quantification during check-out;
  • you can enjoy your villa holiday in greater tranquillity.

"EMMA", OUR NEW APP FOR SMART SERVICE Furthermore, from spring 2021, all our properties will be supported by Emma, a multifunctional Web-App, developed in partnership with Vikey s.r.l., that will allow you to implement:
  • online check-in (entering the required details that you did not enter when booking);
  • payment of tourist tax (where due) and eventual flat-rate payments requested (eg electricity, heating, extra cleaning for animals, etc.);
