PRIVATE STRUCTURE (only lease). Casa del Vento is located about 3 km from the borgo of Casale Marittimo, and about the same distance from the borgo of Bibbona, at the end of a road that plunges into an incomparable panorama. The villa has two floors above ground and a basement, for a total of 438 sq m; it was built in 2002 but despite 18 years having passed since then it seems newly built, thanks to the high quality of the construction techniques used then and to the fact that it has always been inhabited by only one family member. Just its name alone expresses all the nature that the house contains within itself and the benefits it derives from that same nature that surrounds it. Both the exterior and the interior welcome you with their clean, modern lines; the neutral colours of the façade blend perfectly with the olive trees that stand guard all around, with the colours of the grass, the sky and the sea. Indoors, walls painted with warm colours, floors of oak planking and the non-invasive presence of simple and essential furnishings with natural materials, placed with care and respected by the love that binds them to the family of whom they have always been part; all framed by the sun that enters gently but makes its presence felt throughout the day, illuminating the rooms with respectful intrusiveness. The kitchen and the dining room are in a single room that goes into the living room and then goes outside, under the pergola. Adjacent is a room with glass walls, specially designed to create a corner where nature can make those who live there feel all the power of its presence, a place to relax and think and to clear up your ideas, confused by the stress of everyday life. The bedrooms are located one on the ground floor and two on the first floor, one of which features a sloping ceiling, with bathroom and with access to the terrace giving them a touch of exclusivity; another two bedrooms are below ground in the basement. The comforts of this house cannot be hidden, large and comfortable rooms connected to each other yet, at the same time, independent thanks to wooden walls, sliding doors and large windows; the presence of a lift sets no limits for anyone. Outdoors, immagine yourself relaxing in good company, going for a well-deserved swim in the newly-built swimming pool completely surrounded by olive trees, walking barefoot on the lawn or sitting under the shade of the pergola; imagine yourself there, with the breeze that caresses you, with the perfume of the flowers and grass, with the view of the sea on the horizon, because this is how it will be! You will seem to touch the sea from this corner of the world, the magnificence of the island of Elba will always be in front of you, together with Corsica and Gorgona, you will admire thrilling sunsets that confer on the sky colours that will remain forever etched on your heart.

VILLA CASA DEL VENTO HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

The villa has three floors. From the main entrance, you go into the sitting room with fireplace and TV; on the left are two large doors opening to the kitchen with dining table from where you go out to the veranda and pergola. From the veranda you come to a double bedroom with bathroom with shower and direct access to the terrace. The main entrance to the terrace is from the sitting room but it can also be reached from the garden. To the right of the sitting room is the lift which goes up to the first floor and down to the basement, a bathroom with shower and the wooden staircase leading to the sleeping areas on both the first floor and the basement. The sleeping area on the first floor consists of two double bedrooms, one with a balcony and a bathroom with tub. The entrance to the basement area leads, on the right, into a hallway with direct access out to the portico and to a bedroom with two beds; on the left, to a bathroom with shower and laundry; opposite, to a double bedroom with access to the portico and a bathroom with shower.

Park:

The villa is surrounded by a green park which extends for a total area of six hectares, of which one hectare around the house is used as the garden. Natural grass and olive trees are the undisputed protagonists. Patches of flowers, stones and creepers give the finishing touches to the nooks and crannies along the way to the swimming pool. A beautiful corner portico faces, first, the lawn and then the sea; reading, relaxing and seating areas are dotted here and there in the garden; the pergola next to the dining area is set up for outdoor dining, with a handy barbecue. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The rectangular swimming pool, measuring 11 x 3 m, is located just a few metres from the house, hidden from it and surrounded by olive trees that guarantee the privacy for those using it and maintain peace and quiet for those who decide to remain in the house. Newly-built, it is reached across the lawn and is purified with ozone. The solarium terrace, approximately 23 sq m , is equipped with sunbeds, deck chairs and umbrellas so that you can fully enjoy this exclusive area. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

Location and distances


Via del Poggio, where Casa del Vento is located, is a road providing a truly unique picture postcard setting for the homes along it. It is dominated by the borgo of Casale Marittimo, about 3 km away, the most characteristic borgo in terms of architecture and historical conservation, featuring houses and streets in original stone with truly unique corners. Bibbona is also about 3 km away, less characteristic from an aesthetic point of view but no less important from a historical and naturalistic point of view. The proximity to Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci allows you to go along food and wine routes of considerable importance, thanks also to the presence of internationally renowned wine cellars. For nature lovers, there is hiking, cycling or horse riding; of significant naturalistic importance is the proximity to the Macchia della Magona and the Oasi di Bolgheri, while the pinewoods and the most beautiful beaches of the Etruscan Coast are just five minutes away by car. Main art cities like Volterra, Siena, Florence and Pisa are just a few kilometres away and can also be easily reached by public transport. A ten-minute car ride will take you to Cecina, the closest important comune in terms of size and services; here you will find a wide range of services, public transport for excursions, shops of all kinds and, every Tuesday, an open-air market which is the largest in all Tuscany. An excellent starting point, therefore, for exploring this special corner of Tuscany.

Excellently maintained and equipped. Lot’s of Kitchen accessories, high quality table tennis pallets, darts, football table. Netflix, books etc all available. Location with great views and fully private at the same time only 10km from Cecina beach/city. Well functioning airco was appreciated during summer time. Beds all having good mattresses.

It was a pity that no documentation map was available with explanation how things work (eg appliances, garbage sorting etc), what would be nice places to visit, restaurant recommendations,..

Check in and out was very flexible. Eg we were allowed to arrive already at 12am although official check in started at 16pm. The welcome was a bit impersonal , superficial though and information restricted to absolute minimum.

The property has exceeded our expectations in terms of its traditional regional look with very nice patina, its very nice furniture (inside and outside), many of it being quality antique or vintage, its comfort (esp. kitchen, wash room), the astonishing sea view and very nice and well-maintained landscape/garden, the level of privacy while at the same time being located near nice villages, a wonderful beach and nice sightseeing places.

For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.
