RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Villa Lemura is a charming house in a small Umbrian hamlet, that was originally built as the residence of a noble family from Perugia. This attractive villa has been protagonist of sumptuous noble scenarios since 1690, the year of its construction. It was enlarged in 1850, when Mariano Piervittori, an artist of striking works, embellished it with his magnificent frescoes. It is located in Panicale, a small town in the province of Perugia, famous for its picturesque medieval quarters that still retain the magic atmosphere of that time. Golf lovers can take advantage of the course located near the residence. The view offered by the villa is particularly attractive because it is located on the green plain of Lake Trasimeno, where the combination of nature and respect for nature go hand in hand. The area offers picturesque and expressive scenery, making it a favourite tourist destination for those who like to spend their holidays in peaceful surroundings, immersed in nature yet, at the same time, suitable for those wanting to be able to reach easily towns of great artistic beauty and to learn about the diverse culinary cultures. Perugia, Siena, Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano and Florence are an example. PLEASE NOTE: when the property is rented in this solution, no other guests will be present on site.

Interior:

The entrance on the ground floor leads into a spacious frescoed hall with a large stone staircase in the centre. On the left is a sitting room, a TV room and two double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom with shower and the other with adjacent bathroom with shower. On the right is the kitchen, the dining room and a toilet. The large stone staircase in the centre of the hall leads up to the first floor with a large attractive central living room dominating the floor, a sitting room, a reading room, a spacious terrace, three double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with 1.20 m wide beds and en-suite bathroom with shower. The floor is completed by a suite composed by a sitting room, a twin bedroom (that shares the bathroom with the double bedroom) and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub.

Park:

The park spreads over about two acres and is home to a wide variety of plants and flowers making the area more attractive with their perfume. Beautiful oleanders surround part of the house as well as roses, lavender, tall cedars of lebanon, cypresses, pines and fruit trees. The park spreads over several terraces, on the left of the entrance gate is a well-kept Italian garden that leads to the entrance of a consecrated chapel. In front of the Italian garden is an attractive, cool gazebo, connected with a second kitchen and perfect for alfresco dining. Continuing in the park you come across many shaded corners suitable for reading and relaxing. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The rectangular-shaped pool is located inside the park and is totally surrounded by greenery, offering views over the gentle Umbrian hills. It is situated at the rear of the house, about 100 m from the main entrance, on a lower terrace level. It measures 6 x 12 m with a constant depth of 1.60 m. Roman steps lead into the water and it is lined with white PVC. It has internal lighting and chlorine purification. The spacious solarium area is composed of stone and lawn and is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and an outdoor cold water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday in October.

Villa Lemura is sited in a geographic position that permits guests to reach the main towns of Tuscany and Umbria with ease, by both public and private transport. The residence, in Panicale in the province of Perugia, is about 50 km from Perugia airport and about 160 km from Florence airport. The railway station of Chiusi, connected with the Rome – Florence line, is 17 km away while that of Terontola, with connections to Perugia station, is about 25 km away. The A1 motorway exit of Chiusi is about 22 km away. Unforgettable excursions can be made to towns famous for their cuisine and art, such as Cortona (32 km away), Pienza (51 km) and Montepulciano (40 km). A scenario worthy of note is offered by Lake Trasimeno, just 14 km away. Also, for shopping and the latest fashionable purchases, the Valdichiana Outlet Village, about 41 km away and easily accessible from the A1 motorway, has a wide selection of Italian and foreign designer stores.

The ceilings! No I jest but they are magnificent. Everything about the Villa was as described and mind blowing when you steeped inside. All our family simply loved it. I wish I could have afforded to rent it for longer. We just did not want to come home.

A stunning residence full of beauty and grandeur, with a stunning location and views quite breathtaking. We loved the italian garden with its little chapel and vined walkways - for the romantics of the world - a dream holiday. The pool perfectly situated amongst the olive trees - heaven!!

The size - we weren't a huge party - only 11 at the peak - but having the space to spread out was wonderful. The location is amazing - we all fell in love with Panicale. Emma, Pascal and Stella who maintain the property were incredible and nothing was too much trouble.

The standard typology is the one that foresees the regular Saturday- Saturday stay. In this case it is possible to send a request or to directly book online.

SHORT STAYS and NON-WEEKLY STAYS:
For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.

COVID-19 EXTRA POLICY - by EuropAssistance (Optional) 40€ each reservation To protect against any risks caused by the Covid-19 emergency, you can purchase the Covid-19 Extra Policy which protects you in the event that you or one of your travel companions are forced to extend your stay or are unable to complete it. In the event of consequences related to the pandemic that occur during your stay, if you sign up to this policy, you can request the following services:
  • Return home;
  • Advance for expenses for basic necessities;
  • Guarantee for extra medical expenses;
  • Extended stay guarantee;
  • Hospitalisation allowance;
  • Travel fee reimbursement.

And to protect you in the case of damage caused to the property?

ZER0DEP COVER - by EuropAssistance (Mandatory) 49€ each reservation The new "Zer0Dep" guarantee protects you and allows you to have a tranquil holiday. Zer0Dep stands for "Zero deposit"; it is an insurance coverage developed in partnership with EuropAssistance which replaces the security deposit and which is therefore mandatory. The benefits of this guarantee are: you do not pay the security deposit on arrival: neither in cash nor by immobilising a substantial amount on your credit card limit;
  • you are protected in the case of eventual damage to the property caused accidentally during your stay (up to the maximum limit of 1500 euro);
  • you avoid any dispute on the responsibility of the damage and its quantification during check-out;
  • you can enjoy your villa holiday in greater tranquillity.

"EMMA", OUR NEW APP FOR SMART SERVICE Furthermore, from spring 2021, all our properties will be supported by Emma, a multifunctional Web-App, developed in partnership with Vikey s.r.l., that will allow you to implement:
  • online check-in (entering the required details that you did not enter when booking);
  • payment of tourist tax (where due) and eventual flat-rate payments requested (eg electricity, heating, extra cleaning for animals, etc.);
  • the purchase of additional services, hospitality (extra cleaning, in-house chef, first grocery shopping, etc.) and experiences (food and wine tours, guided tours, etc.)
