RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Marangole is a gem of rural elegance set in the heart of the Chianti hills at 500 m above sea level, guarded by immense garrisons of vines that stretch endlessly and make up the classical dreamy Tuscan landscapes that are famous throughout the world. This completely renovated, prestigious 18th century residence has six elegant bedrooms, all with air-conditioning and private bathroom, as well as an impressive living area with large living rooms facing out onto a splendid panoramic terrace. The crowning glory is the fantastic pool, an inviting place for relaxing and contemplating this exclusive belvedere. Marangole stands in an independant position within the prestigious frame of the Castello di Albole estate which extends for 137 hectares of fertile land which, every year, produces excellent extra-virgin olive oil and a choice nectar exported throughout the world and which can be tasted directly in the historic cellars of the beautiful medieval castle which dominates the estate and which once belonged to the most noble Tuscan families and is situated about 1 km from the property. We are 4 km from the famous borgo of Radda in Chianti (where you can find shops for everyday needs, restaurants and bars) while the neighbouring territory offers an incomparable variety of places to explore: Volpaia, Panzano, Gaiole and Greve with their breathtaking picture-postcard views and unique range of artistic, historical and eno-gastronomical offers. Thanks to the beautiful panoramic roads, daily trips will take you to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano or Volterra. NB. A short distance from the house live the helpful and friendly caretakers who look after the park and pool which is for the exclusive use of the guests.

MARANGOLE HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

The house is made up of three floors and a panoramic turret. The main entrance, under the ground floor portico, leads into the sitting room which is connected to the dining room and to the large eat-in kitchen with original fireplace; all the rooms have direct access out to the portico with dining table. The kitchen leads to a hallway with a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub, a guest bathroom and the laundry room. Stairs in the sitting room lead up to the first floor with a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a TV room that leads out to the veranda furnished with armchairs and little tables (connected to the ground floor by an external staircase) and a bathroom with shower. On the second floor are two twin bedrooms (with joinable beds) and a double bedroom, all with ensuite bathroom with shower. A spiral staircase leads up to the turret consisting of a large twin bedroom (with joinable beds) with big panoramic windows and served by a bathroom with shower.

Park:

In the immense estate of Castello di Albola that surrounds the house, composed mainly of vines, is the fenced-in park of about 3000 sq m belonging to the property, framed by bushes of herbs and olives and adorned with geraniums, lemons, jasmine and a rose garden flanking the access to the pool. A few paces from the parking area, which is reached along a short unpaved driveway from the entrance gate, is a splendid panoramic terrace paved in terracotta which leads to the portico with the dining area set conveniently in front of the entrances to the house, to the pergola in a strategic panoramic position and to the steps leading to the pool area which is situated at a lower level. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The pool is situated in a secluded part of the garden, with a fascinating view over the rows of vines that surround the property, in the centre of a platform paved in terracotta and is reached from the terrace in front of the house down a ramp of steps. The rectangular pool, with metal ladder, PVC lining and chlorine purification, measures 6 x 12 m with the depth ranging from 1.20 to 1.60 m. Set around the pool are sunbeds, little tables and umbrellas while, close to the pool, is a cold-water shower and a bathroom/changing room with shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday of October.

Location and distances


The historical region of Chianti which is situated right in the centre of Tuscany, between north of Florence, Siena and the south of Arezzo and finally east of the towns of Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. This area constitutes a particularly important centre of attraction for the numerous historical testimonies of a past dating back to the Etruscan era. Furthermore, the prestige that this area enjoyed in the Renaissance era is testified by the numerous medieval castles, all perfectly preserved, that can be seen along the famous “road of the castles”. From Gaiole, in fact, it is possible to choose from numerous itineraries that lead to the surrounding castles. The Chianti countryside is perfect for horseback riding in the tranquillity of the vast network of paths and unpaved roads which meander through the woods and hills and it also permits visitors to explore the abundance of food and wine that characterizes this area. Here, too, a series of itineraries lead to the exploration of the ancient Tuscan flavours skilfully produced by the local growers. The proximity of the airports Florence, Pisa and e allow easy access to this region as does the motorway A1 exit at Valdarno and Valdichiana which easily connects the hamlets in the Chianti area, Radda, Greve, Castellina, Volpaia etc. and the rest of Tuscany. The closer train station is Montevarchi (25 km).

Updated modern bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, toiletry supplies, beautiful outside patios - flowers, trees, vines. Outdoor eating areas both in the shade and in the sun, beautiful pool with nice lounge chairs, having daily assistance (shout out to Angela), Chef for a night, Winery Tour.

The standard typology is the one that foresees the regular Saturday- Saturday stay. In this case it is possible to send a request or to directly book online.

SHORT STAYS and NON-WEEKLY STAYS:
For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.

The booking requests for one week stay during July and August are subject to approval.

STAY CANCELLATION GUARANTEE DUE TO LOCKDOWN - by Emma Villas (Included in the price) The final price of the reservation includes also the special coverage, guaranteed by Emma Villas, in the event that you are forced to cancel your stay in the 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, due to the occurrence of at least one of the following Covid-19 epidemic containment measures officially imposed by the competent authorities:
  • national lockdown in Italy;
  • local lockdown in Italy regarding the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation);
  • national lockdown in your country of residence;
  • Italian local lockdown in the Client's Municipality or area of residence..

HEALTH ASSISTANCE INSURANCE POLICY - by EuropAssistance (Optional) +1,5% of the rental price Not only cancellation policies, but also protection during your stay. You can choose to purchase this policy in the event you should, for the duration of your stay, want coverage for:

  • you are protected in the case of eventual damage to the property caused accidentally during your stay (up to the maximum limit of 1500 euro);
