Villa Terra di Siena is set in the countryside a few kilometres from the town; backdrop to the villa is the unmistakable Tuscan landscape, typical of the Chianti area, with olive trees, rows of vines and cypresses. The construction of the villa dates back to the 15th century, first as an old monastery and later as a farm. Its rich and evocative history still reflects today its ancient charm. Once past the surrounding walls, you come to a large internal courtyard around which are all the entrances to the various parts composing the villa. Within its exposed stone shell, ultra-modern rooms coexist with an old-fashioned touch: rustic-style finishes, real wood floors, exposed ceiling beams and restored furniture. The air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, the fully-equipped kitchen, the welcoming living areas, the games and music rooms are the soul of the villa. The garden and terrace are embellished with elegant relaxation areas. The villa is the ideal place for listening to and playing music, for playing games. The splendid swimming pool and pool house help to make your dream of a perfect holiday with family or friends come true: a relaxing stay in a private setting, very close to the most beautiful and special attractions of Tuscany. Its location, 10 km from Siena, places it among the sunny landscapes of Tuscany and offers an incomparable network of destinations to explore: Volpaia, Panzano, Gaiole, Greve. These villages offer breathtaking views, allowing you to explore the full range of artistic, historical, food and wine attractions that surround the area. The neighbouring panoramic roads facilitate daily excursions to the towns of Florence, Arezzo, Montepulciano, San Gimignano or Volterra, all within easy reach. NB: if the property is rented in this solution, no other clients will be present in the entire structure.

Interior:

The complex is a typical structure which is historically defined as a "courtyard house", consisting of a main body and adjoining annex . The rooms are organised around a central courtyard where all the various entrances are located. MAIN BODY. It has three floors. On the first floor, the portico leads into the entrance hall with, on one side, the dining room and kitchen, and, on the other side, the living area with TV and study corner, a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub and a double bedroom with external access and ensuite bathroom with shower. Going up to the second floor is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, the master bedroom with walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with shower and, continuing on, the music room. On the ground floor is the billiard room with bathroom with shower (accessible from the swimming pool and from the internal staircase). ANNEX. Adjoining the main body on the ground floor, it includes the laundry room, fitness room and wine cellar, both with double access (from the courtyard or from the back of the villa).

Park:

The completely-fenced property extends for about 2.5 hectares with approximately 450 olive trees, several rows of vines, a small wooded area, a laurel hedge next to the swimming pool and, further on, flourishing fruit trees. The majestic oak in the parking area has given the name to the courtyard of the villa. The ornamental plants located in the courtyard enrich and colour the corners of the house. The climbing bougainvillea has green and violet flowers while the fragrant jasmine is green and white. In front of the swimming pool is a tiled terrace equipped with table and chairs. Extending along the south side of the villa is the portico, with table and chairs for breakfast and a pleasant sitting area and with, in front, a stone path between holm oaks and oaks. A short walk in the shade leads to the tennis court with basketball area, a backboard and hoop, and a football area equipped with a goal post. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The swimming pool, located a few steps from the villa and protected by a laurel hedge, measures 13.4 x 4.5 m with the depth varying from 1 to 2 m. Lined with porcelain stoneware, it has internal lighting, chlorine purification and Roman steps for access to the water. The surrounding solarium is equipped with sunbeds while in the adjacent pool house is a sitting area where guests can relax in the shade. Available close to the pool area is the bathroom with shower on the ground floor of the villa by the billiard room and a solar shower on the border. The pool is available from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.

Tennis-court:

The tennis court is located 50 m from the farmhouse, the flooring is in synthetic grass. It is fenced and with regular measures. At guests' disposal there are rackets. It is also equipped with a basketball area consisting of a backboard and a net and a football area with a goal with a net.

Location and distances


The historic region of Chianti is located right in the centre of Tuscany, between the cities of Florence to the north, Siena to the south and Arezzo to the east, and consists of the towns of Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. This area constitutes a particularly important pole of attraction for the numerous historical testimonies of a past that dates back to the Etruscan era. Furthermore, the prestige that this area had in the Renaissance period is testified by the numerous medieval castles, all perfectly preserved, which you meet along the famous "road of castles". The Chianti landscape is perfect for horse riding in the tranquillity of the vast network of paths and dirt roads that wind through the woods and hills, and it also allows the visitor to explore the food and wine wealth that characterises this area. The airports of Florence, Pisa and Rome allow easy access to the region, as does the A1 motorway which, with the exits of Firenze Impruneta and Valdichiana, easily connects the towns of the Chianti area, Radda, Greve, Castellina, Volpaia, etc. to the rest of Tuscany. The closest railway station is in Siena.
